Our Mission

GAM is devoted to safeguarding the pristine marine habitats of Luwuk, with a special focus on Teluk Lalong and the conservation of the Banggai Cardinalfish, a species native to our waters and facing threats from environmental degradation. Our mission encompasses battling plastic pollution, promoting sustainable community practices, and fostering a balanced ecosystem where both nature and humanity can thrive.  

Our Projects

• Plastic Cleanup Drives: Join us every Friday as we mobilize community volunteers to remove plastic waste from Teluk Lalong and surrounding areas. Our efforts aim not just to clean, but to preserve the delicate marine ecosystem vital for the survival of the Banggai Cardinalfish and other marine species.
• Recycled Art and Utility Products: Witness how we turn adversity into opportunity by transforming collected plastic waste into beautiful and useful items. This initiative supports our conservation activities financially and spreads awareness through tangible products that tell a story of resilience and environmental stewardship.
• Educational Workshops in Schools: We're planting the seeds of environmental consciousness in the hearts and minds of Luwuk's youth. Our workshops, held in local schools, are designed to educate students about the critical importance of ecosystems like Teluk Lalong and the plight of the Banggai Cardinalfish, inspiring a new generation of eco-warriors.
